Philosophy of St. Damian School

St. Damian School is a Faith community of administrators, educators, parents and students, bound together for the purpose of education and the formation of Catholic values and attitudes. As a Catholic school community, St. Damian takes into consideration the whole person and encourages him/her to grow physically, spiritually, intellectually, morally and socially as the Gospel directs.

Mission Statement

     We the community of St. Damian School will:

• develop a sense of worth and respect for self and others
• realize the purpose of a faith community
• provide the physical, emotional, intellectual, moral and spiritual experience to enable each child to be a valuable contributor to his/her home, church and community
• maintain open communication with parents/guardians in order to supplement and enrich the training of the home
• provide the atmosphere in which character and intellectual life can develop
• reach out to less fortunate and alienated, by student participation in mission awareness activities and projects
